I think it’d be a mistake to elevate YAB above what it is – a soap opera with added wank value – but it is compelling. Your reaction to it might depend on age: if you can relate to confused, directionless twenty-somethings who spend most of their time obsessively analysing their lives and relationships, you possibly just are one. If you want to kill them all, that’s okay too. So little seems to actually happen that it’s a bit like an episode of Neighbours that’s been stretched to 90 minutes by the director simply shouting “Fill! Fill!” I do heart it though.
